Today I decided to take my kayak out for a quick jaunt around my lake at sunset. After a dreary day with minimal lake activity, the wakeboarding/tubing/jetskiing community of Lake Blaine decided sunset would be the perfect time to come out and play. I just pretended I was white-water rafting.
I also spent an anxious 10 minutes tonight wondering whether I should watch Independence Day, Just Friends, Jumanji, or Sex & the City--all of which were playing AT THE SAME TIME. I just can't handle those kinds of decisions. My Lexapro cannot be expected to work at that level all the time people.
In other news, the new chief of MI6 got outed by his facebook-illiterate wife. I love that she uses his codename, "C", and I can only hope she uses it in the bedroom as well. This whole thing actually makes me feel a little better about the CIA in general.
So I'm going to be updating this thing at night, methinks. That's when I'm most awake--my peak hours appear to be between 9 pm and 2 am. I read through basically all of bananaloaf's blogs today for some style pointers. Blame her if I suck.
Song for the day? Let's go with some Sunset Rubdown. Pretty great band--I'm a fan of Spencer Krug's desperate howling which is also in full yelp with his other project, Wolf Parade. "Idiot Heart" is off their new album, Dragonslayer. Oh, and they're from Montreal, natch. The second track, "Stadiums and Shrines II," is just an old favorite of mine. I just remember being struck by the way he said, "I'm sorry anybody dies at all these days..."

I cannot be held responsible for what I thought was blog-worthy at age 16. Or the grammar mistakes that came with it.
